Following on from my article entitled “The Way Ahead” I want to delve a little deeper on how to follow God’s plan as He helps us navigate the details of our everyday lives. We allow God’s Word to direct our choices and opinions as we move towards our desire to reveal Christ in our characters and see His Kingdom manifest more and more as we surrender to His truth. 

As we close the door and opening our bible we permit our hearts to become engaged contemplating the words that we find before us. Here we make the choice to believe that Holy Spirit is infusing our spirits with His revelation truth. Now we apply faith to the revelations that we receive and take them as our own.

Allowing our spirit man to open wide we train our hearts to listen as God speaks to us through His Word. The quickest way to engage our spirit in this way is to worship Him as we read the truth displayed in front of us. It’s here our spirit rises to meet God’s Spirit and we unfurl in His Presence. We hear Him whisper into our hearts in the many ways that He desires to communicate to us.

Now we’re empowered to choose the decisions He lays before our feet. Finding ourselves travelling along the path of our divine destiny. This is the way marked out for us by Him. 

His loving counsel ensures that His divine perspective directs our choices and decisions, and we rest in the truth that He watches over us. Protecting us from the poor choices the world may offer and those that we may have made in the past and rescuing us from naivety, complacency and ignorance. For now, we have allowed wisdom to win over our thoughts and belief systems. Divine revelation breaks into our hearts, superseding our emotional responses!

Never again will we need to be anxious, afraid, or worried about any aspect of our lives. He delicately and deliberately weaves everything into His divine purpose for us. This is the divine purpose chosen for us by a beloved Father. For we are the ones who are the apple of His eye and the centre of His affection.

In Proverbs 1:33, we find joy in the truth that we have access to undisturbed heavenly peace every time we choose to listen to Him. On the occasions we fail to do this, we simply run back to Him. Our hearts are ready and willing to choose His voice over every other that has vied for our attention!!

In Proverbs 1:1 (TPT) it states, “(these are) words of wisdom given to empower you to reign in life.” Therefore, I encourage you to delve deeper into Proverbs chapter two, and allow its truths to permeate your heart until your life displays the glorious fruit of wisdom.
