What is This Love?
How enduring and inclusive it is! Endless love beyond measurement that transcends our understanding.” Ephesians 3:18-19 (TPT)
When we find ourselves living from a place of pain or brokenness, it can seem even harder to understand or imagine this immense love. Our hearts may feel closed off to the unconditional love God has for us; therefore, we come to believe that it isn’t true or at best only true for others. Yet He consistently reveals His love to us and makes the way for us to be restored back to Him.
Holy Spirit persistently knocks on our hearts, hoping for the access to overwhelm us with His kindness, and goodness. As we tentatively open up and allow Him access to these untouched and unloved areas, so we find peace and healing. It’s in these places that we’re restored in His perfect affection.
“By constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you, and the resting place of His love will become the very source and root of your life.” Ephesians 3:17 (TPT)
Resting into the assurance that despite all else we are deeply and passionately loved, we remind the doubting parts within of the truth. Letting it shape our internal dialogue so it becomes our daily reality.
The more we pursue and begin to understand what the love of God is, the more we realise that we’re merely scratching the surface. We become overwhelmed by the sheer intensity and perfection of God’s love for us. We’re undone and unravelled by just a touch from Him.
It can feel so intense and overwhelming to our little hearts, and yet we know that there’s so much more to understand.
