“Be silent and stop...see that I am God.” Psalm 46:10 (TPT)

How exhilarating to meet with God's heart in anticipation, leaving behind our external lives. Holy Spirit offers us counsel as He empowers us to quieten our thoughts and emotions. This may take practice, yet as we rely on His strength, we grow in our ability to find and possess an inner quiet. We permit Jesus to enfold us in the stillness and embrace His peace surrounding us. We draw aside to meet with God alone making the choice to sit at His feet.

God longs for us to hunger for more of Him, engaging in the pursuit of this intimate fellowship. His enveloping Presence and warm embrace thrilling our hearts and His as we engage. Focusing on Him, we perceive His dwelling within us and receive His light and life in its fullness from the epicentre of His divine love. Wisdom comes to whisper in the moments of this sweet union and it’s here that revelation comes as gentle kisses to bring wonderful insight into every area of our lives.

As we choose this, we find a deeper intimacy with Christ. Our times of solitude and silent surrender, exposes us to God’s character, and we become convinced of who He really is. The more we experience God in this way, the more our hearts long for this deep union with Him as our highest priority.
