Article Twenty three
The Spirit-led Life
“He leads me by still waters. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace, the quiet brook of bliss.” Psalm 23:2 (NIV/TPT)
In this place I sense His Presence fill and surround me. His gentle whispers speaking love, affirmation, direction and comfort.
Whenever I have needed answers, I have found Him a breath away. His voice internally guiding my thoughts and decisions whether they be futile or wrong thoughts, to bad decisions or reactionary choices. His Spirit leads me away to thoughts of love, gratitude, and praise. He challenges my stubbornness and ignorance, applauding my wisdom and good judgement. His support, strength, wisdom, and direction have guided every detail of my life. When I have been confounded with confusion, I have learnt that by returning to this place, I will receive the peace and clarity I seek.
Every moment we can turn to Him, listening and applying our hearts and minds to His voice. The scriptures coming alive as we partner with Holy Spirit to listen out for truth. We enjoy an intimate internal relationship with Him who knows the Father’s intention and continuously reveals His truth to us. In all things, we come to understand that we have a Good Father who watches over our every step, leading us to His heart every time.
This is a truth that many of us know well, yet in the pressure times or places of weakness, it is good to remind ourselves of this foundational part of our relationship with God.
This lifestyle and intimate relationship is the forming of who we are becoming before Him and a demonstration of who He is to the world around us. This is the desire of our God for His yielded-hearted people.
