Our Delicious Feast
We come to the Lord in grateful humility and leave in His care every aspect of our lives, choosing instead to consider Him.
Here, our hearts naturally turn to praise and adoration. We’re compelled to worship the King, becoming overwhelmed in His Presence. Our hearts allow Jesus to replace anything that has held residence before. Laid out before us are faith, hope, joy, peace, love, and strength. Any morsel of fear, anxiety, or despair are forgotten. Hopelessness, weariness, lethargy and apathy are cast aside as we feast on God. We taste the sweetness of Christ and His promises.
“You anoint me with the fragrance of your Holy Spirit.” Turning inwards to Holy Spirit, we converse, but instead of listing our woes, we lay them before Him. We listen for His voice, to speak, to soothe, to delight and enthral us and allow His strengthening within. We embrace scripture as Holy Spirit sets fire to the words that they may burn within us. The truth convinces us that God is good, faithful and kind, and that we are deeply loved.
“You give me all I can drink of you until my heart overflows.” Here we drink deeply of Christ's love. Our cup overflows with joy and gladness from this feasting table. We consume the delights of God's character until His attributes become part of us.
From this place, we share them with those around us, becoming a feast for them too. “Feast upon my bride…My life within her will become your feast.” Song of Songs 5:1 (TPT) Christ’s intention is that we are to become food and drink for others. That the fruit of our lives produced from this intimate union will refresh and revive their hearts. So that they too, may be drawn into this blissful sanctuary.
