Posture of Availability

I know that there have been times in the past when upon hearing His direction, my heart and mind have desired to walk the other way, or to stop moving forward, when to proceed was difficult or beyond my strength or capabilities; however, we are compelled by our love for the Lord to follow where He leads us.

As we spend our time in His heart we find that our desires increasingly marry to His will and plans for us, so that we fall into step with not only where He is leading us but how we travel to our divine destiny. The days of little compromises are over as He calls us higher and deeper in every area of our lives.

We draw from the empowering presence of the Spirit exploding within, so that we are able to accomplish the very things He asks of us. We look along the highway ahead and see that as we face life’s hurdles we are full of strength and faith, to sit rested in the storms of life, smiling in the face of life’s traumas and showing mercy and kindness in the face of animosity.

We confidently declare our “yes” as He leads us where our feet may have hesitated to tread.

He leads us in our hearts to the point of surrendering comfort and restful pleasure. We instead choose the early hours in His presence, and drawing aside in the places of busyness. As we consistently become available for His whispers and urges we choose to live surrendered and available at all times. We posture our hearts and minds to be on call as He leads us, ready to pray, to intercede, to love and to say “yes” to Him and “no” to all other loves.

He yearns for the places in our hearts that slumber or look away. The call is to wake up, to lift our heads and to welcome in the King of Glory in every place within us and every demand or trial we face. For He is about to come through us!

As we say “yes” to Him in this way, we will see Him marching in victory through us to those He has predestined to rescue through our lives.
